Our mission is to build a more resilient future through the advancement of climate science, academic-community partnerships, and adaptation solutions.
OUR FOCUS AREAS
Sea-level Rise and Coastal Hazards
We enhance regional-scale modeling, develop coastal monitoring systems, and support research to understand compound climate stressors on coastal landscapes.
We also collaborate directly with stakeholders to inform and advance coastal adaptation methods and pathways.

Marine Ecosystems and Climate Change
We increase understanding and predictions of stressors such as ocean warming, deoxygenation, and acidification. We also advance research on carbon sinks in coastal marine ecosystems.
Human Health and Climate Change
We advance research in the area of extreme temperatures and associate impacts. We focus on adverse health impacts from extreme heat and humidity and marine heat wave relationships to coastal fog and humidity.
