The Center for Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation is proud to sponsor the upcoming 2018 California Adaptation Forum (CAF), taking place in Sacramento from August 27-29. The biennial CAF gathers the adaptation community to foster knowledge exchange, innovation, and mutual support to create resilient communities throughout the state. The CAF offers a series of engaging plenaries, sessions, networking opportunities, workshops, and tours to support our transition from adaptation awareness and planning to action.
The Center team and some research affiliates will be leading plenaries and workshops throughout the event, including:

As part of the sponsorship, the Center is sending 12 students from the Climate Science and Policy Masters Program at UC San Diego as a unique professional learning experience.
The Climate Science Alliance, in partnership with the Center, will be showcasing the “Art of Change” show for all three days of the event as part of “Art@CAF”. This traveling climate-art show will unveil art new to the “Art of Change”, including multiple art pieces from the Center’s Climate Art Fellow Audrey Carver and Scripps’ researcher Adi Khen.
