Center Staff and Researchers Speak at Encinitas City Hall Meeting on Sea Level Rise

Encinitas City Hall hosted a sea-level rise workshop on May 8, featuring a mix of scientist and city officials as guest speakers including Center staff Laura Engeman and Center research affiliates Dr. Bob Guza and Dr. Adam Young.

Dr. Guza and Dr. Young, both from the Integrative Oceanography Division at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, shared their expectations for coastal changes in the face of climate change and stressed the need for continued and advanced research. Laura Engeman, a Program Director of the Center, discussed future mitigation and adaptation decisions.
