On June 18th, Matthew Costa and Serge Dedina appeared in Gareth and Anca Barrett’s podcast, “How to Be Good”. The podcast explores how people and businesses can help combat climate change and live a more sustainable life. Matthew and Serge discussed the conservation of coastal and marine ecosystems from California to Mexico.
Serge Dedina, Executive Director of WILDCOAST and mayor of Imperial Beach, is a long time partner of Scripps Oceanography. Together Matthew and WILDCOAST are conducting countywide assessments of blue carbon in local wetlands to determine how much carbon is stored in these systems and what that means in the face of climate change impacts.
