Phytoplankton Morphology Research Presented at Institutional Seminar

Phytoplankton make up the base of the food chain in our oceans, playing a huge role in the ecosystem. Dr. Andrew Barton, research affiliate for the Center for Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation and assistant professor for Scripps Institution of Oceanography, is trying to learn more about these organisms, their biodiversity, and what a changing climate can mean for them.

Dr. Barton spoke about his team’s recent research on phytoplankton morphology at this month’s Institutional Seminar, an opportunity for researchers to share their work with the campus community. Learn more about this seminar here.
