Postdoctoral scholar Matt Costa attended the UNFCCC Conference of the Parties (COP 25) in Madrid, as part of a contingent of Scripps Institution of Oceanography students, faculty, and staff. Matt had the opportunity to network with political and non-governmental organization (NGO) leaders from around the world and connected with several US Representatives from California on his research topic of coastal blue carbon.
“It was an honor and a stimulating experience to represent Scripps Institution of Oceanography at this global meeting of the minds,” said Matt.
